The Te Awamutu branch of the New Zealand Society of Genealogists researched the histories of 32 significant local buildings, many now more than a century old. Constructed between 1890 and 1957, these sites were chosen for their architectural and historical value, including the 86-year-old Hodgson Motors building, documented ahead of its demolition. Drawing on council archives, newspapers, public interviews, and the Te Awamutu Museum’s photographic collections, the group has created a comprehensive record of the town’s commercial buildings and their place in Te Awamutu’s heritage.

A landscape-format, case-bound history edition produced with a gloss-laminated dust jacket for durability and visual impact. Section-sewn binding ensures longevity, while the 152 pages provide a generous canvas for archival material, imagery, and historical narrative. Designed to present local history with clarity, quality and a strong sense of place.

It all begins with an idea. We love turning creative visions into beautifully printed reality. Reach out and let’s start planning your next project together.
